Vada Pav Girl Viral Video

Chandrika Dixit, popularly known as “Vada Pav Girl”, has opened a vada pav stall in Mongolpuri area over the past few months. Recently, she posted a video documenting an altercation between herself and locals while she was organizing a community meal (bhandara) near her stall.

Reasons for police intervention

According to the police’s explanation, Dixit’s stall is operating without a license from the local government. This stall attracts a large number of customers as well as online content creators. The large gathering of people at the stall caused traffic congestion in the area.

Police said they received complaints from residents about traffic jams after Dixit organized a roadside community meal. When the police working group arrived at the scene, Dixit behaved inappropriately with the police officers. Her stall was detained and she was taken to the police station.

Police response

Police confirmed there were no arrests or criminal charges against Dixit. According to Deputy Superintendent of Police, Delhi Suburban Area, no case has been registered against Dixit.
